Spotify.exe stopped working

There is a good reason for this post: I've come to dispise Spotify. Yes, not something shocking to hear nowadays. After all, a lot of people are going against streaming and subscription services lately due to rising costs and other issues. The cost of Spotify is ultimately what made me cancel my subscription. I started out with Spotify since it has a vast library of music and the student subscription only cost like 4 euros. For someone who likes to switch it up and listen to a lot of artists (2000+ according to Spotify Wrapped lol), that's a pretty good deal! Although that was a good time and I didn't mind paying for the convience of Premium, after 4 years, they said I couldn't use their student formula anymore, even though I was still a student.

So when my subscription went from 4 to 12 euros a month, I shut it down. Let me tell you, Spotify without premium sucks quite a lot. A lot of long advertisements, no endless skipping, no turning back to the previous song or even to the beginning of the song (???). Everything to make you buy premium again.

So that's when I decided to make my own mp3 player. Also something that has done before, but since I am an electronics student that is always looking for a project, this seemed to be the ultimate project for me. Now I knew it wasn't going to be easy (and it still isn't), but it seems cool nontheless.

I am not sure if I'll succeed since I just started and have a lot to learn about bluetooth connectivity, uploading & saving music to sd cards and playing sound from an esp32. The ultimate goal is to build it out to an open source project so everyone can listen to music locally on a device they made themselves. We'll see :)

I would also like to share music I like and for this first project post, I want to share the album I'm definitely playing first and that's the TRON: Legacy album from Daft Punk. I watched TRON: Legacy a few months ago for the first time and I found it such a good movie and the soundtrack was just fire all the way through. I have to admit, I've watched the movie several times now, since I can't get enough of it lol
